Equipment
Highly Encouraged: these items can be purchased at SwimOutlet, D&J Sports in Lewisburg or similar sporting store/website.
Goggles: so highly encouraged that we recommend that they are mandatory. Wearing goggles will ease the swimmer ability to put their face in the water which creates better streamline positioning of the body. Make sure to bring an extra pair for meets incase they break.
Swim Suit: one piece suit is encouraged. We do have an optional team suit available- see below.
Water Bottle: Swimmers are less likely to notice the sweat because the water washes it off immediately, however it is extremely important to stay hydrated.
Swim Cap: Swim cap can be worn to keep hair out of the swimmer's face, reduce drag, protect hair from chlorine or sun damage, keep hair dry, keep the head warm, or to keep water out of the ears.
Additional equipment optional:
Kick Board- practice proper technique or improve kick endurance and speed.
Pull Buoy- to create extra buoyancy for your hips, to bring your body position in line so you are more streamlined while doing pull drills.

Recommended Swim Suit Care
Over time a swimsuit will deteriorate, however you can extend its life by reducing the exposure to chemicals, oils and the sun when possible.
Always Rinse the swim suit thoroughly with cool water after swimming. Chlorine, suntan lotion and other contaminants will cause the fabric to become brittle or faded, and will significantly shorten the useful life of the suit. Additionally if you turn the swimsuit inside out when you wash it to avoid damaging the outer layer.
Never use a washing machine to clean a swim suit! The agitation is too rough on the material and detergents also cause long-term damage to the fabric.
Allow the swimsuit to dry naturally. Do not dry your swimsuit in a dryer or in sun which will cause the breakdown of elasticity.
