Krista Falk Head Coach

I'm excited to be returning to the Selinsgrove Stingrays as the head coach this year. As a swimmer in the Greater Susquehanna Valley Aquatic League many years ago, I'm delighted to be able to give back to a program that meant so much to me through my childhood. I'm originally from Mifflinburg and swam competitively until pursuing my advanced nursing career became my primary focus. I became a Certified USA Swim Coach when my children started expressing an interest in swimming. I feel swimming is a life skill that can provide a fun form of exercise for all ages.  Beyond that, competitive swimming is a multifaceted sport providing much more than just the benefits of physical activity including emotional regulation, and team building and hope to contribute my knowledge of individualized technique and self-awareness of swimming in a fun but competitive atmosphere.

Shannon Walter Assistant Coach

Hi! I was an assistant coach for the Sunbury Swim Team for many summers before having twins in June 2015. I returned to being an assistant coach for the GSVY winter program at the YMCA for the last 5.5 years. I enjoyed being involved with a competitive swim team from a young age and continued swimming throughout my high school years!

Team Philosophy: Our primary focus is having FUN while providing individualized instruction to each swimmer during our summer season. We will be focusing on concepts such as teamwork, sportsmanship, motivation, and dedication while participating in the sport of competitive swimming!
